Favorite Solheim Cup Memory: “My rookie year was 2005 and that happened to be a Solheim Cup year so my main goal that whole year was to make the team and play under Nancy Lopez. The team was amazing, and all I wanted to do was make it, and I ended up doing it on points which had never been done before. My whole time playing practice rounds happened to be with my role model, Juli Inkster, but the day before the Solheim Cup started on Friday, Juli got an infection in her finger, and they were like, ‘You’re going to have to play with Beth Daniel.’ Beth and I played literally nine holes with each other and then teed it up on Friday for alternate shot. She asked me what I liked, what I didn’t like, my yardages. We didn’t know each other’s games or anything like that. I was like, ‘I just don’t like 100 so please don’t put me at 100 yards.’ She tees off on the first hole, odds, and I’m evens, and my first shot in a Solheim Cup literally was 100 yards. We both looked at each other because she had her yardage book and she looked at me and I’m like, seriously my first shot of all this and here I am with the worst yardage I could ever have. I almost hit it into the TV tower. That was one of my kind of fun, stressful memories.”
